MOD shocks touching shock tower

Hi guys,

I have 5T’s with MOD shocks & noticed on both cars that these larger diameter MOD shocks slightly touch the bottom edge of the shock tower - I see 2 options here:

1. Add a washer to shock stay
2. File down bottom edge of shock tower

Is this something I should worry about or just leave it as is?

I see that's not a stock shock tower also who makes it?

I made delrin shock stays for my 5ive t , I'll take a picture of then when I get home.

I have a pair of billet cnc ones from a guy in Australia that sells em on ebay. Very nice quality but the extra meat was the issue not so much the shock cap. Here's a few pics.

I’m from Aust as well mate - who make these stand offs for you?

I made them myself. I used delrin because I can keep the m6 nuts and not worry about snapping a smaller bolt and the felrin stand offs also act as the shock bushing. Not to mention trying to make a longer stand off in the same configuration and keeping the stock shock bushing wasn't an option.

Use a single washer to space it, or as rep did make a stand off

Problem solved - I moved the washer to the rear of the plastic spacer & now it’s perfect
