Saw this posted locally. Looks clean for the most part. Just wandering what a v1 DBXL is worth, or if it should be avoided? They are asking $1,000

No way. They weren't $1k new... it's a v1 and it's where they built off all the problems, you would probably sink another 500-700 in mods to make it a decent rig... @Seandonato73 had a v1 and I'm sure he'll chime in ...
Maybe 800? I'd rather sink 800 into another 5ive t before I took on a dbxl.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but I don't have enough experience with them to know for sure. I will cross that one off the list!

Their not a fan favorite among the experienced hobbyist, definitely a decent get your foot in the door rig. Me speaking here from dealing with the platform from v1 to the 2.0 they seem to be a tad better than redcat and they make up for it with a g320 in the 2.0 other than that I wouldn't buy it with your money.

Less the $500.00 I sold mine as a roller, heavily modified, for $300.00. Till it was done I had what a 5ive t would have cost new + some upgrades.
